Windows 7 ISO acronyms and meanings
In this post I want to write every single mark or “flag” in the name or description of an Windows 7 ISO so its easier to understand what you are downloading.
Note : Its illegal for me to share their ISOs or provide you with keys but I am allowed to tell you how and where to find them, its up to you if you want to pull the trigger or not.
Meanings
ISO – A file type in computers. Commonly used for installing operating systems like Windows, Linux,..
Also a file used for cracked or pirated software and video games.
An ISO file (often called an ISO image), is an archive file that contains an identical copy (or image) of data found on an optical disc, like a CD or DVD. They are often used for backing up optical discs, or for distributing large file sets that are intended to burned to an optical disc.
en,de,ru,es,fr,…. – These tell you what language is used, en is short for English, de for Deutch/German, ru for Russian and so on.
Starter,Home,ultimate,professional,enterprise,… – These tell you what edition is the ISO you are about to download, each Windows OS usually has multiple editions.Editions have differences between them, search online to see what are those.
x86, x64 – These tell you what architecture is ISO for.This depends on your CPU, almost all modern day CPUs are x64.
x86=32 bit.
x64=64 bit.
N edition(n or _n_ in the name of the iso) – Version of Windows OS without Windows Media Player, and few other multimedia playing programs.

dvd – storage media, it should mean that it will fit on a DVD if you decide to burn the ISO
u – Update flag. The ISO was updated with some critical patch.
